Help build the workforce behind AUKUS
This is a rare opportunity to support one of Australia’s most critical national priorities, backed by the Australian Government’s multi‑billion‑dollar AUKUS investment to strengthen sovereign defence capability for decades to come.
Korn Ferry is partnering with Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to deliver the workforce underpinning Australia’s Naval Shipbuilding Enterprise. We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Lead to help scale capability and meet the accelerating demands of this nationally significant program.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll lead end‑to‑end recruitment across complex, technical and specialist roles that directly support a nationally important program. You’ll work closely with senior leaders as a trusted adviser, bringing market insight, sound judgement and practical solutions to enable sustainable workforce growth.
This role can be undertaken four days per week (part‑time) or five days per week (full‑time). It is remote‑first, with office attendance required when needed, including meeting candidates in person where possible. You’ll also have the option to work from Korn Ferry’s Melbourne office as required.
The role will rely heavily on proactive sourcing and headhunting, with success driven by your ability to identify, engage and secure scarce and specialist talent in a highly competitive market.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading end‑to‑end recruitment for priority and hard‑to‑hire roles
Partnering with senior leaders to align workforce growth with program delivery needs
Providing market insight to inform hiring strategy and decisions
Headhunting and proactively sourcing specialist and scarce talent
Meeting candidates in person where possible to support effective assessment and engagement
Ensuring recruitment activity meets governance, probity and security requirements
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in senior or lead‑level recruitment roles
Strong capability in headhunting and proactive sourcing for complex or niche roles
Background in complex, regulated or project‑based environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a results‑focused mindset
Experience recruiting technical, engineering, infrastructure or government‑aligned roles highly regarded
Australian citizenship, required to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance
Why This Role
Make a meaningful contribution to a nationally significant AUKUS program
Play a hands‑on role in building the workforce that underpins long‑term program success
High‑trust role with real influence, ownership and collaboration
Supported by Korn Ferry’s experienced RPO team, tools and global people expertise
