About this role

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to support the growth of our IT and Engineering Services business focused on our Public Sector business. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth by delivering tailored engineering staffing and project solutions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of sales or business development experience within IT and/or engineering services, staffing, or technical consulting, and a strong interest in working with government clients. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow IT & engineering services revenue within government agencies and public sector organizations Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within government entities Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close Collaborate with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client needs Understand client requirements and position customized engineering staffing and project-based solutions Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through CRM tools Stay informed on market trends, government procurement processes, and competitive landscape Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management Experience selling IT and/or engineering services, technical staffing, or consulting solutions preferred Experience selling to government clients. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Skills Understanding of IT and/or engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, or software) Familiarity with government contracting environments and procurement cycles Experience collaborating with recruiting or delivery teams in a services-based model Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
