Responsibilities

  • Partner strategically with hiring managers and technical leaders to understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Conduct comprehensive total addressable market research to size talent pools and inform hiring timelines.
  • Develop detailed job mapping strategies by analyzing competitor organizations and creating target account lists.
  • Build and execute customized sourcing strategies for each requisition using various sourcing techniques.
  • Craft personalized outreach campaigns that engage passive candidates.
  • Own candidate experience from initial outreach through recruiter handoff.
  • Represent Discord's engineering brand at technical conferences and industry events.
  • Maintain rigorous pipeline health metrics and optimize sourcing approaches using data.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing or recruitment, preferably in a high-growth tech company environment.
  • Demonstrated success hiring senior, staff, and principal-level engineers, and engineering managers in competitive talent markets.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex engineering roles and evaluate technical qualifications.
  • Expert-level proficiency with boolean search techniques and advanced sourcing methods.
  • Proficiency with modern sourcing tools and platforms, including SeekOut Recruit, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, and GitHub.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong pipeline management capabilities.
